SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE (AMENDMENT) ACT.

Act No. 45, 1966.

An Act to make further provisions with respect to the Elizabeth n,

Sydney Opera House; for this purpose to amend the Sydney Opera House Act, 1960, as amended by subsequent Acts; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 3rd November, 1966.]

TE>E it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by

and with the advice and consent of the Legislative

Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as

follows: —

1.      (1) This Act may be cited as the “Sydney Opera short title

House (Amendment) Act, 1966”.	“ <1.	citation.
(2) The Sydney Opera House Act, 1960, as amended by subsequent Acts and by this Act, may be cited as the Sydney C^era House Act, 1960-1966.

2. The Sydney Opera House Act, 1960, as amended by Amendment

subsequent Acts, is amended—

(a)

by omitting subsection four of section two andsec. 2. by inserting in lieu thereof the following sub- (Work

(4) The expenditure towards carrying out the

said work of an amount not exceeding the difference

between thirty-seven million five hundred thousand

dollars

No. 45, 1966 dollars and the amount expended in carrying out the said work before the commencement of the Sydney Opera House (Amendment) Act, 1966, is hereby authorised.

Sec. 4.	(b) by omitting from paragraph (a) of subsection three

(ii)   by inserting in the Schedule after the words “constructing authority” where firstly occur­ ring the following new paragraph ; —

The work shall also comprise the construc­ tion of a parking station on or near the site of the Sydney Opera House, hereinbefore described.
