Regulation under the Sydney Olympic Park Authority Act 2001.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to change the amounts payable under a penalty notice for certain offences under the Sydney Olympic Park Authority Regulation 2018, so as to standardise those amounts across legislation that regulates conduct at certain public places.

This Regulation is made under the Sydney Olympic Park Authority Act 2001, including sections 79 (Penalty notices) and 82 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Sydney Olympic Park Authority Amendment (Penalty Notice

Offences) Regulation 2019.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on 31 January 2019 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.

Omit the matter relating to clause 5 (1). Insert instead:

clause 5 (1) (a)–(n), (p)–(r) and (t)–(aj)	$200
clause 5 (1) (o)	$150
clause 5 (1) (s)—bathe, wade, wash or swim in	$75

any lake, pond or stream or in any ornamental
water

clause 5 (1) (s)—operate a boat, kayak or any $200

other water craft or vessel or flotation device in
any lake, pond or stream or in any ornamental
water

Omit the matter relating to clause 10 (1). Insert instead:

clause 10 (1) (a) and (c)–(e)	$150

Omit “$200” from the matter relating to clause 12 (3). Insert instead “$112”.

[4]      Schedule 1

Omit “$150” from paragraph (b) of the matter relating to clause 13 (2). Insert instead “$80”.
