Preamble.	A 1 rnE R E A S it is desirable that certain additional powers should V V be vested in the Mayor Aldermen and Citizens of the City of
Sydney Be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows :—

Act.	2. This Act shall come into operation and take effect on the first day of January one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven.
