Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows ;—
| Short title | 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the “ Sydney |

| (2) The Sydney Mechanics School of Arts Incor poration Act of 1886, as amended by the Sydney Mechanics School of Arts (Enabling) Act, 1929, and this Act, may be cited as the Sydney Mechanics School of Arts Act, 1886-1940. | |

(1) The Sydney Mechanics School of Arts Incor poration Act of 1886 is amended by omitting from sec tion six the words “ twelve Committee-men,” and by inserting in lieu thereof the words “ such number of Committee-men being not less than seven and not more than ten, as may be provided in the by-laws.” |
| (2) Upon a day to be appointed by the Governor and notified by proclamation published in the Gazette the Committee shall be reconstituted and shall consist of persons elected in pursuance of section six of the Sydney Mechanics School of Arts Incorporation Act of 1886 as amended by subsection one of this section. |

(3) For th? purposes only of carrying out such reconstitution, subsection one of this section shall com mence upon the date upon which His Majesty’s Assent to this Act is signified; and upon the day appointed hy the Governor pursuant to subsection two of this section, subsection one of this section shall come into operation for all purposes whatsoever.
