No 62—PROCLAMATION

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels, AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 6 of the Sydney Market Authority (Dissolution) Act 1997, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 November 1997 as the sale date for the purposes of Part 2 of that Act.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to appoint a sale date for the purposes of Part 2 of the Sydney Market Authority (Dissolution) Act 1997. The sale date so appointed will be the earliest date from which any sale of the business undertaking of the Sydney Market Authority can take effect (see section 5 (5)), the earliest date from which any lease of the Flemington site of the Sydney Market Authority can be granted (see section 10 (1)) and the date immediately after which the Sydney Market Authority is to be dissolved (see section 13 (1)).
