1 . This Act maybe cited as the “ Sydney llarhourshort titu-.

Tonnage Rates Act, 1916.”

2 . Section seven of the Sydney Harbour Rates Act, Repeal of

1904, is repealed, and the following section inserted in "■

the place thereof :—

7. The tonnage rates to be levied shall be at the scale of

I’ate of one-half penny for each ton of the gross tonnage measurement of the vessel for each complete period of twenty-four hours, and for periods of less than twenty-fonr hours at the rate of one-eighth of a penny for each period of six hours or part thereof.

3 . Section twelve of the same Act is repealed, and the Kcpuai of

following section is inserted in the place thereof :—

12. Tor the pnrposes of this Act the latest Kvidonec of

publication of Lloyd’s Register shall be evidence

of the tonnage of all vessels mentioned therein.
