Act No. 66, 1974.

An Act to make further provisions with respect to the appointment of, and the vacation of office by, members of the Sydney Farm Produce Market Authority appointed under the Sydney Farm Produce Market Authority Act, 1968; for this purpose to amend that Act; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 18th October, 1974.1

T) E it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by No. 66, 1974 and with the advice and consent of the Legislative

Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in follows:—Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as

1.     This Act may be cited as the “Sydney Farm Produce Short title.

Market Authority (Amendment) Act, 1974”.

2. The Sydney Farm Produce Market Authority Act, Amendment

(a)	by inserting in section 4 (2) (c) after the word See. 4. “member” the words “pursuant to section 4 (1) (Constitu- (c) ( l ) ; Authority.)
(b)	by inserting after section 4 (2) (c) the following paragraph :—

(d) A person who is of or above the age of seventy years shall not be appointed as a member pursuant to section 4 (1) (c) (ii) or (v).

(c)	by omitting from section 4 (6) the words “A member shall be deemed to have vacated his office upon the day upon which he attains the age of sixty-five years.” ;
(d)	by inserting after section 4 (6) the following subsections :—

( 6 a ) a member appointed pursuant to section 4 (1) (c) (i), (iii) or (iv) shall be deemed to have vacated his office on the day on which he attains the age of sixty-five years.

( 6 b ) a member appointed pursuant to section 4 (1) (c) (ii) or (v) shall be deemed to have vacated his office on the day on which he attains the age of seventy years.
