1991—No. 314
SYDNEY ELECTRICITY ACT 1990—REGULATION
(Relating to the continuation of transitional arrangements)
NEW SOUTH WALES
[Published in Gazette No. 98 of 28 June 1991]
HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Sydney Electricity Act 1990, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.
ROBERT WEBSTER
Minister for Energy.
The Sydney Electricity (Savings and Transitional) Regulation 1991 is amended by omitting from clause 3 the matter “1 July 1991” and by inserting instead the matter “31 December 1991”.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to continue in force for an additional 6 months the Sydney Electricity (Savings and Transitional) Regulation 1991 made under the Sydney Electricity Act 1990.
That Regulation applies the provisions of Ordinance No. 54 under the Local Government Act 1919 to Sydney Electricity and to the Sydney Electricity District and would otherwise cease to have effect on 1 July 1991. Ordinance No. 54 contains provisions with respect to the supply of electricity by councils and county councils and to the installation and use of electrical appliances by persons to whom electricity is so supplied.
This is a transitional arrangement pending the making of a substantive regulation under the Act.
