SYDNEY ELECTRICITY ACT 1990—PROCLAMATION

NEW SOUTH WALES

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 53A of the Sydney Electricity Act 1990, do, by this my Proclamation, amend Schedule 1 to that Act by omitting from that Schedule, as from 1 October 1995, all matter contained in that Schedule.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to abolish the Sydney Electricity District. This Proclamation is being made in conjunction with an order under section 53A of the Sydney Electricity Act 1990 transferring to MetNorth Energy (an electricity distributor constituted under section 6 of the Electricity Act 1945) all of the staff, assets, rights and liabilities of Sydney Electricity.
