Explanatory note

The object of this By-law is to change the amounts payable under penalty notices for certain offences under the Sydney Cricket Ground and Sydney Football Stadium By-law 2014, so as to standardise those amounts across legislation that regulates conduct at certain public places.

This By-law is made under the Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Act 1978, including sections 29 (the general power to make by-laws) and 30A (Penalty notices).

1      Name of By-law

This By-law is the Sydney Cricket Ground and Sydney Football Stadium Amendment

(Penalty Notice Offences) By-law 2019.

2      Commencement

This By-law commences on 31 January 2019 and is required to be published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Sydney Cricket Ground and Sydney Football Stadium By-law 2014

(1) Schedule 1 Penalty notice offences

Omit “$330” from the matter relating to clause 19 (c). Insert instead “$100”.

(2) Schedule 1
Omit “$330” from the matter relating to clause 20 (b). Insert instead “$200”.
(3) Schedule 1
Omit the matter relating to clause 28. Insert instead:
Clause 28—drive or ride a vehicle contrary $112
to any sign erected by the Trust that
regulates the traffic flow and movement of
vehicles on the scheduled lands
Clause 28—act (other than by driving, riding $112
or parking a vehicle) contrary to any sign
erected by the Trust that regulates the traffic
flow and movement of vehicles on the
scheduled lands
Clause 28—park a vehicle contrary to any $80
