T T rilE R E A S it is expedient to amend the “ Sydney Corporation preamble.

VV Act of 1879” in certain particulars Be it therefore enacted

by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and	,
consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South lYales in Parliament assembled and by the authority ot the same as folloAvs :—

1. This Act may be cited for all purposes as the “ Sydney Short title and

Corporation Act Amendment Act 1880” and its provisions shall Pe read with and as forming part of the said “ Sydnev Corjioration Act

of 1879.” ^

2. Notwithstanding anything contained in the “ Sydney Cor-Appeal to Supreme

])oration Act of 1879” any person who shall feel dissatisfied with the fourteen days after the passing of this Act and in all cases of appeal

determination of a Judge of the llistrict Court as to the principle upon Court Judge on

Avhich any assessment as conhrmed or altered by such Judge

made may appeal from such determination to the Supreme Court

Provided that notice in writing of such intended apjteal to the Supreme

Court shall in all eases of appeal from a determination of the District

from a determination given after tlie passing of this Act a like notice shall be lodged Avithin fourteen days after such determination And the Supreme Court may make such order in the matter of the appeal as to the said Court may seem just Avhich order if directed to the Registrar of the District Court shall be carried out by him.

and Rules. so far as the right of appeal is therehy made to depend on the amount claimed and the general rides thereunder in force for the time being relating to appeals to the Supreme Court shall subject to the provisions of this Act govern and regulate ell appeals permitted by this Act.
