1 Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to revoke the
Sustainable Forests (Timber Harvesting)

Regulations 2006.

2 Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 96 of the Sustainable Forests (Timber) Act 2004.

3 Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on

1 October 2014.

4 Revocation

The Sustainable Forests (Timber Harvesting)

Regulations 20061 are revoked.

1.  General Information

The Sustainable Forests (Timber Harvesting) Revocation Regulations 2014,
S.R. No. 134/2014 were made on 23 September 2014 by the Governor in
Council under section 96 of the Sustainable Forests (Timber) Act 2004,
No. 48/2004 and came into operation on 1 October 2014: regulation 3.

The Sustainable Forests (Timber Harvesting) Revocation Regulations 2014 will sunset 10 years after the day of making on 23 September 2024 (see section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994).
