Surveyors (Examination and Registration) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THOMAS UREN, the Minister of State for Territories and Local Government, hereby make the following Regulations under the Surveyors Ordinance 1967.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 July 1984.

Principal Regulations

2. In these Regulations, "Principal Regulations" means the Surveyors

(Examination and Registration) Regulations.

Interpretation

3. Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is amended—

(a) by inserting after the definition of "articles" in sub-regulation (1) the following definition:

" 'determined fee' means the relevant fee determined by the

Minister under section 52A of the Ordinance;"; and

(b) by omitting sub-regulation (2).

7. The Principal Regulations are amended as set out in the Schedule.

Registration of articles

4. Regulation 6 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from

paragraph (2) (b) "prescribed registration" and substituting "determined".

Repeal

5. Regulation 34 of the Principal Regulations is repealed.

Repeal of Schedule 2

6. Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is repealed.

S C H E D U L E Regulation?

The following provisions of the Principal Regulations are amended by omitting "prescribed" and

substituting "determined":

Paragraphs 7 (4) (c), 18 (2) (c), 27 (b), 28 (e) and 29 (h), regulation 30, sub-regulations 31 (2)

and 33 (3).
