Act No. 28, 1968.

An Act to provide for the appointment of an additional member to the Board of Surveyors of New South Wales; for this and other pmposes to amend the Surveyors Act, 1929-1965; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 10th October, 1968.]

(2) The Surveyors Act, 1929, as subsequently amended and as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Surveyors Act, 1929-1968.

(3) This Act shall commence upon a day to be appointed by the Governor and notified by proclamation published in the Gazette.

one member appointed by the Governor being a person who is the dean or head or a professor or other member of a school, department or faculty of surveying in The University of New South Wales or some other prescribed University or educational institution; and

(c)

five other members (being surveyors) who shall be appointed by the Governor.

(1) Nothing contained in this Act shall prejudice or affect the continuity of the body corporate constituted under the Surveyors Act, 1929, as subsequently amended, and that body corporate shall continue notwithstanding the provisions of this Act.

(2) The persons who held office as members of the No. 28,1968

Board of Surveyors of New South Wales immediately before the commencement of this Act shall, subject to the provisions of the Surveyors Act, 1929, as subsequently amended, continue to hold office as such members.
