Surveying (Cadastral Surveys) Amendment Regulations 2018
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Surveying (Cadastral Surveys) Regulations 2015 to refer to the Map Grid of Australia 2020 (MGA2020).
2Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 63 of the Surveying Act 2004.
3Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 1 November 2018.
4Principal Regulations
In these Regulations, the Surveying (Cadastral Surveys) Regulations 2015[1] are called the Principal Regulations.
5Definitions
In regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations, for the definition of Map Grid of Australia 1994 (MGA94) substitute—
"Map Grid of Australia 2020 (MGA2020) has the same meaning as in the Survey Co‑ordination Regulations 2014[2];".
6Field requirements of a cadastral survey
In regulation 11(1)(b) of the Principal Regulations, for "1994 (MGA94)" substitute "2020 (MGA2020)".
7Information to be recorded in field records
In regulation 12(2)(b) and (c) of the Principal Regulations, for "1994 (MGA94)" substitute "2020 (MGA2020)".
8Schedule 4 amended
For Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations substitute—
"Schedule 4—Record of having re‑established a cadastral boundary
Regulation 16
".
