Survey (Funding and Promotion of Surveying Qualifications) Amendment Act 2009

An Act to amend the Survey Act 1992.

The Parliament of South Australia enacts as follows:

Part 1—Preliminary

1—Short title

This Act may be cited as the Survey (Funding and Promotion of Surveying Qualifications) Amendment Act 2009.

2—Amendment provisions

In this Act, a provision under a heading referring to the amendment of a specified Act amends the Act so specified.

Part 2—Amendment of Survey Act 1992

3—Amendment of section 10—Functions of Institution of Surveyors under this Act

Section 10(1)—after paragraph (d) insert:

  1. (da)

    providing financial and other assistance for the conduct by a university of, or participation of a student in, a course of instruction and training that provides qualifications for licensing or registration as a surveyor, and otherwise promoting surveying as a career, as agreed with the Minister; and
