2. Commencement
These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b) the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.
3. Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Surveillance Devices
Regulations 1999.
4. Regulation 6 amended
In regulation 6(4) in the definition of emergency service:

(a)

in paragraph (c) delete "organisation;" and insert: organisation: or
(b) after paragraph (c) insert:
(d) the Australian Maritime Safety Authority
established under the Australian Maritime
Safety Authority Act 1990 (Commonwealth)
section 5;
