Surveillance Devices Amendment

Regulations 2016

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Surveillance Devices Amendment
Regulations 2016.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)	regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Surveillance Devices
Regulations 1999.

4.             Regulation 6 amended

(1) After regulation 6(1)(d) insert:

(da) by a public authority for the purposes of
monitoring traffic on a highway or main road;

(2) In regulation 6(4) after the definition of prison insert:

public authority has the meaning given in the Criminal

Procedure Act 2004 section 3(1);
