Surveillance Devices Amendment (Corresponding Laws) Regulations 2021

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Surveillance Devices Regulations 2016 to update the list of corresponding laws that are declared for the purposes of the Surveillance Devices Act 1999.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 37A of the Surveillance Devices Act 1999.

3Corresponding laws

In Schedule 1 to the Surveillance Devices Regulations 2016[1]—

(a)for "Regulation 5" substitute "Regulation 6";

(b)in the entry relating to the Northern Territory, in column 2, after "Act" insert "2007";

(c)after the entry relating to Queensland insert—

"South Australia Surveillance Devices Act 2016".
