Rules of the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory2 (Amendment)

WE, Judges appointed under subsection 7 (1) of the Australian Capital Territory Supreme Court Act 1933, hereby make the following Rules of Court under section 28 of that Act.

1. Commencement

1.1 These Rules commence on 1 December 1990.

2. Amendment

2.1 The Rules of the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory are amended as set out in these Rules.

2.2 The amendments effected by rule 3 apply to writs issued on or after 1 December 1990.

3. Order 4, rule 6 (Indorsement of notice as to stay of proceedings)

3.1 Paragraph 6 (3) (a):

Omit “$471”, substitute “$494”.

3.2 Paragraphs 6 (4) (a) and (b):

Omit “$522”, substitute “$552”.

4. Order 65, rule 7 (Scale of costs)

4.1 Add at the end:

“(6) In respect of work done and services performed by a solicitor on or after 1 December 1990, a reference in this rule to the costs set out in, or the charges provided for by, Schedule 4 (other than items 36 and 37 of the Schedule) is a reference to those costs or charges increased by 13.39%.”.
