(Amendment) Rules 1996
The Judges of the Supreme Court make the following Rules:
1. Object
The object of these Rules is to make miscellaneous amendments to the Principal Rules.
2. Authorising provisions
These Rules are made under section 25 of the powers.
3. Principal Rules
In these Rules, the Supreme Court Library Fund (Investment) Rules 19921 are called the Principal Rules.
4. Amendment of Rule 7
Rule 7(3) of the Principal Rules is revoked.
5. Amendment of Rule 8
In Rule 8(3) of the Principal Rules—
(a)
for "sharebroker of at least ten years' standing who is a member of the Australian Stock Exchange" substitute "member of the Australian Stock Exchange of at least ten years' standing";

(b)
in sub-paragraph (a) omit "having regard to the principles set out in paragraph (2)"; and
(c)
for sub-paragraph (b) substitute— "(b) to review—
(i) performance (individually and as
at least once in each year, the the Investment Fund is invested; and
(ii) the investments made by the occasion requires—
and in each case to recommend any
desirable changes.".
6. Substitution of Rule 9
For Rule 9 of the Principal Rules substitute—
"9. InvestmentsThe Investment Fund shall be invested in securities in accordance with the provisions of the law of the State of Victoria relating to the investment of trust funds."
7. Revocation of Rule 10
Rule 10 of the Principal Rules is revoked.
8. Revocation of Rule 13
Rule 13 of the Principal Rules is revoked.
