| Preamble. | \ \ J HEREAS by the Act of Council passed in the tiftcenth year of |
| 1? Vic. No. 17 B. 2. | V V Her present Majesty’s reign numbered seventeen it was enacted |
tliat all Pees of wliatever nature receivable by any Officer of tlu ̂ Supreme Court (except Attorneys Solicitors and Practitioners) under any llulc or Order of the Judges should lu; paid to Her Majesty Her Heirs and Successors for the public uses of the Colony And wlieri'as that enactment in terms comprehends all Commissioners of the Supreme,' Court for taking affidavits and acknowledgements and tin; same requires in that respect amendment Be it therefore! enaeted by llis Exeelleney the Governor of New South Mhilcs by and with tlic advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof as follows :—

The Said enactment shall not he deeme'd to extend or to have! cxtciided to any Commissioner of the Sujiremc Court for taking affi davits or recognizances or to any Commissioner for taking acknow ledgements under the Act for the llegistry of Heeds except in respect eif fees received by any salaried Officer or Clerk of the Supreme Couri, for anything done by him as such Commissioner during the ordinary office hours. |
