Made by the Judges of the Supreme Court.Citation
(Transitional) Rules 1991. 1. These rules may be cited as the Supreme Court (Corporations Law) Commencement 2. These rules shall be taken to have come into operation on the day on which
the Corporations (Western Australia) Act 1990 came into operation.
Object3. The object of these rules is to make the Companies (Western Australia)
(Transitional Provision) Rules 1982 applicable to some proceedings under the
Corporations Law in the Supreme Court.
Interpretation
4.
In these rules, unless the contrary intention appears— "Code" means the Companies (Western Australia) Code; "principal rules" means the Companies (Western Australia) (Transitional
Provision) Rules 1982*.

Principal rules to apply
5. (1) So far as is practicable, the principal rules apply with any necessary modifications to a proceeding under the Corporations Law in the Supreme Court in the same way as they would apply to a proceeding of the same, or substantially the same kind under the Code.
(2) For the purposes of subrule (1), a proceeding under the Corporations Law may be regarded as of the same, or substantially the same kind as a proceeding under the Code although the proceeding under the Corporations Law—
(a) is not required or permitted by the Code; or
(b)
is not required or permitted to be brought by the person who is required or permitted to bring it by the Code.
