Supreme Court Act 1986
Supreme Court (Chapters I and VI Miscellaneous Amendments) Rules 2018
The Judges of the Supreme Court make the following Rules:
1Object
The object of these Rules is to make minor, technical amendments to Chapters I and VI of the Rules of the Supreme Court.
2Authorising provisions
These Rules are made under section 25 of the Supreme Court Act 1986 and all other enabling powers.
3Commencement
These Rules come into operation on 26 March 2018.
4Compliance with subpoena
In Rule 42.06(4)(b) of the Supreme Court (General Civil Procedure) Rules 2015[1], for "three days" substitute "two clear business
days".
5Adjournment
In Rule 46.06(2) of the Supreme Court (General Civil Procedure) Rules 2015, for "conduct the directions hearing" substitute "hear the application".
6Further authority of judicial registrars
In Rule 4.17(3) of the Supreme Court (Criminal Procedure) Rules 2017[2], before "appellant" insert "accused or an".
