| e | The object of these Rules is to make provision for |

| ia | Terrorism (Community Protection) Act 2003 |
| rl | and to substitute a new Rule 9.03 of the Principal |

2. Authorising provisions

| n | These Rules are made under section 25 of the | ||
| a | Supreme Court Act 1986, section 50 of the | ||
| n | Interpretation of Legislation Act 1984 and all | ||

| ti | other enabling powers. | ||
| la | 3. Commencement | ||
| is | (1) These Rules (apart from Rules 6 and 8) come into | ||
| g | operation on the day on which they are made. | ||
| e | (2) Rules 6 and 8 come into operation on the day on | ||
| L | which section 5 of the Terrorism (Community | ||
| n | Protection) Act 2003 comes into operation. | ||

5. Amendment to Witness Protection Rules
For Rule 9.03 of the Principal Rules substitute—
