SUPREME COURT AMENDMENT RULES (NO. 7) 1994

Made by the Judges of the Supreme Court.

Citation

1. These rules may be cited as the Supreme Court Amendment Rules (No. 7)

1994.

Principal rules

2. In these rules the Rules of the Supreme Court 1971* are referred to as

the principal rules.

Order 44A amended

3. Order 44A of the principal rules is amended by repealing Rule 1 and

substituting the following Rule —

Interpretation

1. In this Order unless the contrary intention appears —

(a) "the Act" means the Foreign Judgments Act 1991 of

the Commonwealth; and

words used in this Order have in relation to

(b) proceedings taken under the Act, the same meaning

in this Order as they have in the Act.

4. The principal rules are amended in the provisions referred to in column 1 of the Table to this Rule in the manner specified in column 2 of that Table.
