SUPREME COURT AMENDMENT RULES (No. 6) 1990
Made by the Judges of the Supreme Court.
Citation1.These rules may be cited as the Supreme Court Amendment Rules (No. 6)
1990.
Commencement
with it in one or more volumes as may be necessary. 2.These rules come into operation on the day of their publication in the
Government Gazette.
Order 37 amended
3.Order 37 of the Rules of the Supreme Court 1971* is amended—
(a) in Rule 2 by inserting after paragraph (5) the following paragraphs—
(6) Where an affidavit—
(a) consists of more than one page; or
(b) has annexures,
each page of the affidavit and annexures must be numbered
consecutively in the upper right hand corner.(7) Where an affidavit has one or more annexures, an index listing the affidavit and the annexures and their respective page numbers must be bound with the affidavit.
(8) Subject to Rule 9 (1), a document that is to be used in conjunction with an affidavit must be annexed to the affidavit and be referred to in the affidavit as being annexed.
(9) Subject to Rule 9 (1), annexures to an affidavit must be bound

(10) Except in a case where the Court allows otherwise, the thickness of a volume of an affidavit and its annexures must not exceed 40 millimetres. ";
and
(b)
in Rule 9 (1) by deleting "A document referred to in an affidavit" and substituting the following—
" A bound register, an account book or other book or any document
of an unusual size ".
