Supreme Court Amendment Rules (No. 3) 2000
Made by the Judges of the Supreme Court.
1. Citation
These rules may be cited as the Supreme Court Amendment
Rules (No. 3) 2000.2. The rules amended
The amendments in these rules are to the Rules of the Supreme
Court 1971*.

3. Order 37 amended
Order 37 rule 4A is amended as follows:
(a) in paragraph (b) by deleting "interpreter" and inserting
instead -
46 translator (b)
in paragraph (c) by deleting "interpreter and inserting instead -
46 translator (c) in paragraph (c) by deleting "interpreter's" and inserting
instead -
46 translator's (d) in paragraph (d) by deleting "interpreter" and inserting
instead -
46 translator ". 4. Order 66 amended
Order 66 rule 19 is repealed and the following rule is inserted instead -
19. Allowances on taxation
Any of the following items, disbursements, expenses, payments, or charges are allowable on taxation -
(a)
items of costs allowable under any relevant scale and such counsel fees as may be allowed;
(b) disbursements for fees of court; (c) disbursements for fees of officers of the Court;
(d)
witness expenses paid or to be paid under any relevant scale of allowances fixed in that regard;
(e)
agency charges, if specially allowed by the Court or by the Taxing Officer;
(f)
the reasonable expenses as fixed by the Taxing Officer of the typing, printing, and binding of appeal books;
(g)
other necessary disbursements or payments made in the conduct of the litigation;
(h)
any other necessary expense incurred in the conduct of the litigation, whether or not it has been paid before the taxation of that expense takes place.

Item 30(4) of the Fourth Schedule is amended by deleting
"paid" and inserting instead —" has been paid or is to be paid ".
