s1 2 s5 Supreme Court Amendment (No. 2) No. 98, 1996 ˙ Short title 1. This rule may be cited as the Supreme Court Amendment Rule (No. 2) 1996 . ˙ Rules amended 2. This rule amends the Rules of the Supreme Court . ˙ Amendment of o 1 r 1 (Interpretation of terms) 3. Order 1, rule 1(2), definition “taxing officer” — omit, insert— ‘ “taxing officer” means a person appointed to discharge the duties of a taxing officer, and includes— (a) a deputy taxing officer; and (b) in a taxing officer’s absence—a court officer directed by the chief justice, central judge or northern judge to discharge the taxing officer’s duties.’. ˙ Amendment of o 87 (The Registry) 4. Order 87, rule 21— insert— ‘ (2) However, if a court order in a proceeding is the subject of an appeal to another court (the “other court” ), the registrar may, without an order of the court or a judge, give or lend the court records and other documents for the proceeding to the registrar (however called) of the other court.’. ˙ Amendment of sch 3 (Scale of fees) 5. Schedule 3, part 2, after item 20— insert— ‘ 20A. Allowing a bill of costs, wholly or partly, under order 91, rule 41A(4) (for each hour or part of an hour) . . . 60.00’.
