The Supreme Court Rule Committee has made the following rule of court under the Supreme

Court Act 1970.

Explanatory note

The object of this Rule is to enable the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to direct that legal practitioners may be admitted without the need for them to attend personally in the Court.

1      Name of Rule

This Rule is the Supreme Court (Amendment No 432) Rule 2020.

2      Commencement

This Rule commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Supreme Court Rules 1970

Part 65C Admission as legal practitioner

Omit “Every” from rule 2(2).

Insert instead “Unless the Chief Justice directs otherwise, every”.
