The Supreme Court Rule Committee has made the following rule of court under the Supreme

Court Act 1970.

Explanatory note

The object of this Rule is to make a minor amendment to the Supreme Court Rules 1970 consequent on the enactment of the Local Court Act 2007 and the repeal of the Local Courts Act 1982.

1      Name of Rule

This Rule is the Supreme Court (Amendment No 431) Rule 2017.

2      Commencement

This Rule commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment to Supreme Court Rules 1970

Part 55 Contempt

Omit “section 27B of the Local Courts Act 1982” from rule 11 (3) (c).
Insert instead “section 24 of the Local Court Act 2007”.
