SUPREME COURT AMENDMENT

ACT 1998

No. 31 of 1998

AN ACT to amend the Supreme Court Act 1935.

[Assented to 3 July 1998.]

The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

Short title

1.   This Act may be cited as the Supreme Court Amendment

Act 1998.

Commencement

2. This Act comes into operation on the day on which it

receives the Royal Assent.

Section 167 amended

3. Section 167 (1) of the Supreme Court Act 1935* is amended

by inserting after paragraph (d) the following paragraph —

‘‘

(da) For prescribing or regulating any matters relating to the costs of proceedings, where those costs are not the subject of a determination under section 58W of the Legal Practitioners Act 1893.

’’.
