AN ACT to amend section One hundred and seventy

seven of the Supreme Court Act, 1935-1946.

[Assented to 10th October, 1947.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:—

1.    This Act may be cited as the Supreme Court Act Slmrt title.

Amendment Act, 1947, and shall be read as one with the

Supreme Court Act, 1935-1946 (Act No. 36 of 1935, as amended by Acts Nos. 10 of 1945, 35 of 1945 and 50 of

1946), hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

2. The principal Act as amended by this Act may be Citatiot. of principa!

3.    Subsection (6) of section one hundred and seventy- Arnrenvpri

seven of the principal Act is hereby amended by insert- ing before the definition of the word "oath" in such subsection a new definition as follows :—

"British" includes "Australian."
