The Supreme Court Rule Committee made the following rules of court under the

Supreme Court Act 1970 on 19 November 2001.

Explanatory note

The object of these Rules is to amend Part 2 of Schedule E to the Supreme Court Rules 1970 to provide that a registrar may make an order under section 110K of the Supreme Court Act 1970 referring a matter for mediation or neutral evaluation only if the order is made by consent or is expressly unopposed.

    These Rules are the Supreme Court Rules (Amendment No 357) 2001.

  2. Amendment of Supreme Court Rules 1970

    The Supreme Court Rules 1970 are amended as set out in Schedule 1.

Schedule E

Omit paragraph 36 of Part 2. Insert instead:

36. Order by consent or expressly unopposed under section 110K of the Act (which allows the Court to refer a matter for mediation or neutral evaluation).
