SUPREME COURT RULES (AMENDMENT No. 315) 1997

1 . These rules are made by the Rule Committee on 17 November 1997.

2. The Supreme Court Rules 1970 are amended as follows:

SCHEDULE H Part 1

Insert in alphabetical order in the appropriate columns-

Totalizator Act 1997 ...... 39 Appeal
46 Injunction
Totalizator Agency Board Privatisation 4 4 Appeal

3. The Supreme Court Rules 1970 are further amended as follows-

Fines Act 1996 ...... 75 (9) Punishment of
contempt

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note does not form part of the rules).

1 . The object of the amendment contained in paragraph 2 is to assign to the

Administrative Law Division—

(a)

appeals under s. 39 and applications for injunctions under s. 46 of the Totalizator Act 1997; and

(b) appeals under s. 44 of the Totalizator Agency Board Privatisation Act 1997.

2. The object of the amendment contained in paragraph 3 is to assign proceedings

under section 75 (9) of the Fines Act 1996 to the Administrative Law Division.
