WHEAT MARKETING CONTINUANCE.

AN ACT to amend and continue the operation of

the Wheat Marketing Act, 1947.

[Assented to 31st October, 1951.] BE it enacted by the King's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title.

This Act may be cited as the Wheat Marketing Act Amendment and Continuance Act, 1951, and shall be read as one with the Wheat Marketing Act, 1947 (Act No. 49 of 1947), referred to in this Act as the principal Act.

Paragraph (b) of subsection (4) of section seven of the principal Act is amended by substituting for all words from and including the word, "with" in line four, to and including the word, "election" in line twenty, the words, "recorded in the current register of growers kept by Co-operative Bulk Hand- ling Limited in pursuance of the provisions of subsection (3) of section twenty-six A of the Bulk Handling Act, 1935-1950, and whose name shall be included in the roll mentioned in the next succeeding section".

Subsection (2) of section eight of the principal Act is amended by adding after the word, "enrol- ment" in line three the words, "and for the purpose amended.

of preparing the roll Co-operative Bulk Handling Limited shall, at a reasonable cost, furnish the Minister or his nominee with a list of the names of growers recorded in the current register referred to in paragraph (b) of subsection (4) of the last preceding section".

amended, 5. Section forty-two of the principal Act is

amended by

(a)	substituting for the word, "fifty-one" appearing firstly in line three and secondly in line seven of subsection (1) the word, "fifty-six";
(b)	repealing and re-enacting subsection (3) as follows:

(3) (a) Co-operative Bulk Handling Limited shall, at a reasonable cost, furnish the Minister or his nominee with a list of the names of growers recorded in the register current at the time of the ballot and whose names are so recorded pursuant to the provisions of subsection (3) of section twenty-six A of the Bulk Handling Act, 1930-1950.

(b) Only those persons whose names are at the time of the ballot so recorded and growers who deliver wheat to the various flour mills throughout the State shall be entitled to vote at the ballot.

amended.	6. Section forty-three of the principal Act is amended by substituting for the word, "fifty-one" in line three the word, "fifty-six".
Schedule

amended. 7. The Schedule to the principal Act is amended

by

(a)	adding after the figures, "1947" wherever they occur in the citation of the Wheat Marketing Act, 1947, a dash and the figures, "1951", thus, "-1951";
(b)	substituting for the figures, "1951" in line four of Question A, the figures, "1956".
