REGULATIONS UNDER THE SUPPLY AND DEVELOPMENT ACTS 1939-1944.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Supply and Development Acts 1939-1944.

Amendments of the Supply and Development (Staff) Regulations.

1. Regulation 39 of the Supply and Development (Staff) Regula­tions is amended by omitting sub-regulation (1.) and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulation :—

“ (1.) For the purpose of calculating any allowance payable to an officer under regulations 40 to 46a of these Regulations, the maximum salary of the position occupied by the officer shall be deemed not to have been affected or varied by the provisions of regulation 117b of these Regulations or by marginal increases granted by a determination of the Public Service Arbitrator.”.

2. Regulation 40 of the Supply and Development (Staff) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (1.) the table contained therein and inserting in its stead the following table :—

Allowance Capital Cities.

Allowance other than Capital Cities.

Where maximum Salary of Position is—

First twenty-one days' residence.

After twenty-one days' residence.

First twenty-one days' residence.

After twenty-one days' residence.

Married Officer.

Unmarried Officer.

3. Regulation 41 of the Supply and Development (Staff) Regula­tions is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (1.) the table con­tained therein and inserting in its stead the following table :—
