^PPly certain sums out of the Govern- ment Railways and Tramways Fund towards the Services of the Year 1929-1930. [As­ sented to, 23rd December, 1929.]

Preamble.

'lATHEREAS wc Your Majesty’s most dutiful and

V T loyal subjects, the Members of the Legislative

Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, have resolved to grant to Your Majesty the sum of Eour millions seven hundred and twenty thousand one hundred pounds, that is to say—

'

Out of the Government Railways and Tramways Fund, the sum of Four millions seven hundred and twenty thousand one hundred pounds to defray the salaries, maintenance and working expenses of the Government Railways and Tramways during the months of January, February and March or following month of the financial year ending thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty.

And whereas we desire to make good out of the said Fund the sum so granted to His Majesty : Be it there­ fore enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South "Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

1 . Out of the Government Railways and Tramways

be expended at tlie rates wliieli have been sanctioned for the financial year ended thirtieth day of June, one thou­ sand nine hundred and twenty-nine, to defray the salaries, naaintenance, and working expenses and other expenses of the Railways and Tramways during the months of January, February and March or following month of the financial year ending thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, subject to the rate of any reduction that may hereafter be made in the expenditure of the year 1929-1930,

2 . The Treasurer shall issue and pay the said sums Treasurer to

for the Services aforesaid in such manner and in such

proportions as the Governor, by "Vyarrants or Orders in warrant or

writing under his hand, and directed to the said Treasurer,

shall from time to time order and direct. And the j)ay-

ments so to be made shall be charged upon and paid

out of the Government Railways and Tramways Fund.

3 . The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to Treasurer to

time be allowed credit for all sums of money paid by n̂d receipts him in pursuance of such Warrants or Orders. And the to discharge receipts of the respective persons to whom the same

shall be so paid shall be full and valid discharges to the said Treasurer in passing his said accounts for such sums as shall be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly.

4 . This Act may be cited as the Supplv Act short title,
