NEW SOUTH WALES

Act No. 52,1990

An Act to apply certain sums out of the Consolidated Fund towards the services of the Year 1990 - 1991. [Assented to 18 September 1990]

Supply 1990

The Legislature of New South Wales enacts:

Short title

1.         'This Act may be cited as the Supply Act 1990.

Commencement

2.    This Act commences on the date of assent.

$2,414,943,000 may be issued out of the Consolidated Fund for

recurrent services

3.         Out of the Consolidated Fund there is hereby appropriated and

may be issued and applied the sum of $2,414,943,000 to defray the expenses of the various Departments and Services of the State during the months of October and November of the financial year ending 30 June 1991, subject to the rate of any reduction that may hereafter be made in the expenditure of that year.

$455,405,000 may be issued out of the Consolidated Fund for capital

works and services

4.         Out of the Consolidated Fund there is hereby appropriated and

may be issued and applied the sum of $455,405,000 to meet the capital works and services expenditure of the various Departments and Services of the State during the months of October and November of the financial year ending 30 June 1991, subject to the rate of any reduction that may hereafter be made in the expenditure of that year.

Treasurer's authority to pay sums appropriated

5.         The Treasurer may issue and pay the sums appropriated by this

Act in such manner and in such proportions as may be necessary in the public interest to provide for expenditure for the purposes referred to in sections 3 and 4.

Treasurerto have credit and receipts to discharge Treasurer

6.         (1) The Treasurer is to be allowed credit in the Treasurer's

account from time to time for all sums of money paid by the Treasurer

pursuant to section 5.

Supply 1990

The receipts of the respective persons to whom those sums are so paid are full and valid discharges to the Treasurer in passing the Treasurer's accounts for the sums mentioned in those receipts, and the Treasurer is to receive credit for those sums accordingly.
