No. 5 of 1983.

AN ACT to apply out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund the sum of $1,100,000,000 and from Moneys to Credit of the General Loan Fund $80,000,000 to the Service of the Year ending 30 June 1984 and to apply out of the Public Account the Sum of $60,000,000 for the purpose of temporary advances to be made by the Treasurer.

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council and the Legislative

Assembly of Western Australia, in this present

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the

same, as follows:—

1. This Act may be cited as the Supply Act 1983. Short title.

2. (1) There shall be issued and may be applied

of

$L240,000,000.

as supply granted to Her Majesty for the year from

1 July 1983 to 30 June 1984, the following sums

(a)

from the Consolidated Revenue Fund— $1,100,000,000;

(b)

from the General Loan Fund—$80,000,000;

and

(c) from the Public Account—$60,000,000.

(2) The Treasurer is

(a)

empowered to issue and authorised to apply the moneys granted by subsection (1); and

(b)

authorised and empowered to make temporary advances from the Public Account.

3. (1) The sum of $1,100,000,000 referred to in

section 2 (1) (a) shall be available to satisfy the

under the provisions of the law now in force, for any Services voted by the Legislative Assembly during the financial year ending 30 June 1984.

(2) All expenditure for the purpose of temporary advances shall be recouped by charging the specific appropriation of Parliament applicable thereto with that expenditure or by recovering the advances from the Governments or persons to or on whose account the advances may have been made.
