SUPPLY ACT.

Act No. 5, 1923.

An Act to apply certain sums out of the Consoli- dated Revenue Fund towards the Services of the Year 1923-1924, and out of the Public Works Fund , and out of the General Loan Account for Services to be hereafter provided for by Loan. [Assented to, 2nd October, 192.L]

Out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund the sum
of Two millions two hundred and eighteen
thousand

TX7HE11EAS we Your Majesty's most dutiful and

loyal subjects, the Members of the Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, have resolved to grant to Your Majesty the sum of Tines millions and thirteen thousand nine hundred pounds, that is to say—

the m o n t h of October or following m o n t h of
t h e financial year end ing th i r t i e th day of J u n e ,

one thousand n ine h u n d r e d and twenty- four , and t h e s u m of F ive thousand pounds for t he Services set forth in Schedule A here to annexed .

of t he Pub l i c W o r k s F u n d , t h e s u m of Twen ty -n ine thousand two hundred pounds for t he Services set for th in Schedule B here to annexed .

O u t of the Genera l L o a n Account , t h e s u m of Seven

h u n d r e d and sixty t h o u s a n d n ine hund red pounds for t he Services set forth in Schedule C here to annexed :

A n d whereas we desire to m a k e good out of t he said F u n d s and t h e General Loan Accoun t the sum so granted to H i s Majesty : Be it therefore enac ted by the K i n g ' s

Assembly of N e w Sou th W a l e s in P a r l i a m e n t assembled,
a n d by the au tho r i t y of the same, as fo l lows :—

Sou th W a l e s the re shal l a n d may be issued and appl ied for or towards m a k i n g good the Supply so resolved to be g ran ted to H i s Majesty , t h e s u m of Two mill ions two h u n d r e d and twen ty - th ree thousand e ight h u n d r e d pounds , of which the s u m of Two mill ions two hundred

and e ighteen thousand e ight hund red pounds is to be

expended a t t he rates which have been sanct ioned

for the financial year ended th i r t ie th day of J u n e , one; t housand n ine hundred and twen ty - th ree , to defray the expenses of the various D e p a r t m e n t s and Services of

the S ta te du r ing the m o n t h of October or following
m o n t h of the financial vear end ing th i r t i e th dav of
J u n e , one thousand n ine hund red and twenty-four ,
subject to the ra te of any reduct ion tha t m a y hereafter

be made in t he expend i tu re of t he year 1 0 2 3 - 1 9 2 4 ; and the s u m of F ive thousand pounds is to he expended for t h e Services specified in Schedule A here to annexed .

may be issued a n d appl ied for or towards m a k i n g good the Supp ly so resolved to be g ran ted to H i s Majesty , t h e s u m of Twen ty -n ine t housand two h u n d r e d pounds for t h e Services specified in Schedule B here to aunexed.

3 . N o t w i t h s t a n d i n g t h e provisions of t h e Aud i t Ac t ,

1002, the re shall and m a y be issued ou t of the Genera l Loan A c c o u n t and applied for or towards m a k i n g good t h e Supply so resolved to be g ran ted to H i s Majesty, t h e s u m of Seven h u n d r e d and sixty t housand n ine h u n d r e d pounds for t he Services specified in Schedule C

here to annexed .

4 . T h e Treasurer shal l issue and pay the said sums for the Services aforesaid in such m a n n e r and in such propor t ions as t h e Governor , by AVarrants or Orders in wr i t i ng u n d e r bis hand , a n d directed to t he said Treasurer , shall from t ime to t i m e order and direct . A n d t h e p a y m e n t s so to be m a d e shal l be cha rged upon

and paid out of t h e Consolidated R e v e n u e P u n d and
t h e Pub l ic W o r k s F u n d a n d the Genera l L o a n A c c o u n t

respectively.

5 . The Treasurer shal l in his accounts f rom t ime to t ime be al lowed credit for al l sums of money paid by h im in pu r suance of such W a r r a n t s or Orders . A n d the receipts of t h e respect ive persons to w h o m the same shal l be so paid shal l be full and valid discharges to t he said Treasurer in pass ing his said accounts for such sums as shal l be t he re in ment ioned , and he shall receive credi t for t he same accordinglv .
