An Act to apply, out of the General Revenue, the sum of

Four Hundred Thousand Pounds to the Service

of the Year ending the Thirtieth day of June,

one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five.

and eighty-five, any sums of moriey not exceeding in the whole the sum of Four Hundred Thousand Pounds: Provided that no pay- ments for any cstablishrnent or service be made in excess of the rates voted for similar establishments or services on the Estimates for the year ended the thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, except so far as such rates are modified
by the g Civil Service Act, 1874."
