and House of Assembly of the said province, in this present Parlia-

B tralia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council

ment assembled, as follows:

1. Out of the General Revenue of the said province there shall Issuc and application

be issued and applied, from time to time, for the service of the three of ~ 4 0 0, o o o.

months ending the thirtieth day of September, one thousand eight

hundred and eighty-two, any sums of money nob exceeding in the

whole the sirin of Four Hundred Thousand Pounds: Provided that

no payments for any establishmeilt or service be made in excess of

the rates voted for similar cstablishrnents or serviccs on .the Estimates

for the year ended the thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, except so far as such rates are modified by

the

Civil Service Act, 1874."
