An Act to apply, out of the General Revenue, the sum

of Four Hundred Thousand Pounds to the

Service of the Three hfonths ending the Thirtieth day of September, one thousand eight

hundred and cighty-one.

E it Enacted by the Governor of the Province of South ,4us- and House of Assembly of the said province, in this present Parlia-

Preamble.

men t assembled, as follows:

1. Out of the General Revenue of the said province there shall

be issued and applied, from time to time, for the service of the three

months ending the thirticth day of Seytcnrlci-, one thousand eight

hundred and eighty-one, m y sums of money not exceeding in the whole the sum of Four Hundred Thousand Pounds: Provided that no payments for any establishment or service be made in excess of the rates voted for similar establishments or scrvices on the Estimates for the year ended the thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred a i d eighty-one, except so far as such rates we modified by the Civil Service Act, 1874.
