AN ACT to authorise the raising of a sum of One million three hundred and forty-two thousand pounds by Loan for the construction of certain Public Works, and for other purposes.

| HEREAS it is expedient to authorise the raising, by way of | Preamble. |

purposes hereinafter mentioned, and also to re-appropriate certain Loan moneys : Be it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parlia- ment assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

rank pari passe with the principal moneys and interest raised and secured by the Stock created and sold under the Loan Act 1891 and all subsequent Loan Acts, and are hereby charged upon and shall be payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund and Assets of the Government of Western Australia, and shall constitute a charge thereon, subject to the prior charges mentioned in the fourth section of the Loan Act, 1891.

The Governor may from time to time, by warrant under his hand, authorise the Colonial Treasurer to advance and apply to the purposes set forth in the First Schedule of this Act, any sums of money not exceeding in the whole the sum hereby authorised to be raised; and any sums of money so advanced and paid shall be retained by the Colonial Treasurer out of any moneys coming to his hands under the authority of this Act.

It shall further be lawful for the Governor to appropriate out of the sum of One thousand one hundred pounds set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, from the items therein set forth, and to the items enumerated in the Third Schedule hereto, the sum of One hundred and eighty-one pounds nineteen shillings and eight pence, to be expended on the works named in the said Third Schedule hereto.
