Supervised Injecting Place Trial Amendment Act 2000

An Act to amend the Supervised Injecting Place Trial Act 1999 to require the postponement of the declaration of a facility under that Act until 1 January 2002 at the earliest

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

1. Name of Act

   This Act is the Supervised Injecting Place Trial Amendment Act 2000.

2. Commencement

   This Act commences on the day it is notified in the Gazette.

3. Act amended

   This Act amends the Supervised Injecting Place Trial Act 1999.

4. Declaration of the facility

   Section 5 is amended by inserting after subsection (1) the following subsection:

“(1A)   The Minister may not make a declaration before 1 January 2002.”.
