Superannuation Supervisory Levy Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and being satisfied that the Commissioner has consulted the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia, the Life Insurance Federation of Australia and such other persons as the Commissioner considers appropriate, make the following Regulations under the Superannuation Supervisory Levy Act 1991.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Superannuation Supervisory Levy Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s.48.]

2.   Regulation 4 (Basic levy amount)

2.1   Paragraph 4 (1) (a):

Omit “$40;”, substitute “$200;”.

2.2   Paragraph 4 (1) (b):

Omit “$200;”, substitute “$300;”.

2.3   Paragraph 4 (1) (c):

Omit “$40;”, substitute “$200;”.

2.4   Paragraph 4 (1) (d):

Omit “$40”, substitute “$200”.

2.5   Paragraph 4 (1) (d):

Omit “$5,000,”, substitute “$14,000,”.
