This order in council may be cited as the Superannuation (State Public Sector) Variation of Deed Order (No. 3) 1992 . ˙ Commencement 2. This order in council commences on 1 January 1993. ˙ Amended Deed 3. The variations of the Deed of the State Public Sector Superannuation Scheme set out in the Schedule are approved. 1 1 The Deed was initially published in the Gazette on 23 June 1990 at pages 1029–1052.

3 Superannuation (State Public Sector) Variation of Deed (No. 3) No. 397, 1992 ¡ SCHEDULE VARIATION OF THE DEED OF THE STATE PUBLIC SECTOR SUPERANNUATION SCHEME section 3 ˙ Amendment of clause 5.1 (Member Compulsory Contributions) 1. Clause 5.1— omit ‘ 2% to 8% inclusive ’, insert— ‘ — (a) in the case of a member who is a member of the Queensland Police Service—3% to 9%; or (b) in the case of any other member—2% to 8%; ’. ˙ Amendment of clause 5.3 (Contributions in Excess of the Maximum Rate) 2. Clause 5.3— omit ‘ 8% of the Member’s salary ’, insert— ‘ — (a) in the case of a member who is a member of the Queensland Police Service—9% of the member’s salary; or (b) in the case of any other member—8% of the member’s salary; ’. ˙ Amendment of clause 7.4 (Benefit on Total and Permanent Disablement) 3. Clause 7.4(2)(c)— omit, insert—

4 Superannuation (State Public Sector) Variation of Deed (No. 3) No. 397, 1992 ‘ (c) the ratio of the percentage determined in clause 7.4(1) and— (i) in the case of a member who is a member of the Queensland Police Service—857.5%; or (ii) in the case of any other member—735%; ’. ˙ Amendment of clause 7.8 (Benefit on Temporary Disablement) 4. After clause 7.8(5)— insert— ‘(6) This clause does not apply to a member who is a member of the Queensland Police Service. ’. ˙ Amendment of Schedule 1 5. Schedule 1 (after clause 4)— insert— ‘ 5. The percentages in respect of members employed by the Queensland Police Service are— (a) compulsory contribution benefit—21%; (b) basic benefit—3.5%; (c) prospective membership benefit—24.5%. ’.
