This notice may be cited as the Superannuation (State Public Sector) Amendment Notice (No. 2) 1999 . ˙ Commencement 2. This notice is taken to have commenced on 16 June 1999. ˙ Notice amended 3. This notice amends the Superannuation (State Public Sector) Notice 1996 . ˙ Insertion of new pt 5A 4. After part 5— insert— ‘ PART 5A—PRESERVATION CATEGORY ˙ ‘ Discretionary membership ‘ 6H.(1) A person is eligible for membership of the scheme in the preservation category if the person is the spouse of a member of the scheme. ‘ (2) Membership of the scheme by a person declared to be eligible under subsection (1) is discretionary.’.
