This notice may be cited as the Superannuation (State Public Sector) Amendment Notice (No. 2) 1996 . ˙ Notice amended 2. This notice amends the Superannuation (State Public Sector) Notice 1996 . ˙ Amendment of s 6A (Discretionary membership—QFS officers) 3. Section 6A(5)— omit, insert — ‘ (5) An officer mentioned in subsection (1) becomes a member of the scheme on— (a) the day of the election—if the election is made before 1 July 1996 and the officer ceases to be a member before 1 July 1996; or (b) 1 July 1996— (i) if the election is made before 1 July 1996 and the officer continues to be a member on 1 July 1996; or (ii) if the election is made on or after 1 July 1996.’.
